The ADR Commander provides a modular interface
to the ADR hardware: allowing a software operator
to: control a virtual interface that matches the
hardware, configure, download, and copy study
setups, monitor study and hardware operation, and
retrieve data and configuration files. It includes the ADR Control Panel, which provides an exact replica of the ADR's own front panel keypad and display. When connected to the device via any of TOPS' available communications options, ADR Commander's interface provides a virtual connection to the real device.
Other functions of the ADR Commander module include the ability to see the data being recorded by the ADR as it streams into memory, the ability to see counts on a sensor-by-sensor basis, the ability to clear counts and freeze the current counts on screen (Monitor). The Study Config section of the ADR Commander allows you to set up a traffic study in the PCs memory that can then be sent to the ADR and launched immediately. The Data Transfer section of ADR Command allows you to manually retrieve data files from any of the memory locations in the ADR, including the onboard memory, a PCMCIA card, a memory expansion module, or an SD card. (This kind of manual data transfer in no way impacts TOPS' regular ability to automatically retrieve and manage data files.)
ADR Commander is currently only available as a download as part of the TOPS Essential package. |
